The founders believe that traditional disciplines are sometimes unable to address a complicated problem and a multi-disciplinary approach is needed to solve it. For example, a solution to the cancer problem is likely to require input from such diverse areas as molecular biology, metabolism, immunology, biochemistry and pharmacology. Not only will it be useful to involve researchers from many walks of science, but it will also be necessary to include experts from business, economics and law. The GlobalCures team includes and will include many such different talents and constituencies.
